We’re delighted to highlight some truly outstanding international contributions from members of the London Broncos Women over recent fixtures and tournaments. From the high-stakes fight for a World Cup place in Canada to friendlies across the UK, our players have flown the club flag with impressive performances.

🇨🇦 Canada Ravens (World Series)

The inaugural Women’s Rugby League World Series 2025 took place in Brampton, Ontario. From our club, Lauren Mueller proudly represented the Canada Ravens, earning her place among the best in North America. The Ravens faced a tough semi-final against Fiji, going down 48-0, but bounced back superbly in the 3rd-place playoff to defeat Ireland 36-6. Lauren capped off a strong tournament performance by getting herself onto the scoresheet with a try. A huge congratulations to Lauren Mueller for her outstanding contribution.

🇮🇪 Ireland (World Series)

The Irish side entered the World Series with high hopes of securing that final World Cup spot. From our Broncos ranks, Jade Walker, Iona McCusker, and Polly Roberts were all selected to represent Ireland. Ireland suffered an early setback with a 0–10 defeat to Nigeria, and despite a spirited effort in the third-place playoff against Canada, they ultimately fell short. While results didn’t go their way, it remains a fantastic achievement for Jade, Iona, and Polly to feature on the international stage. We are immensely proud of the way they represented both Ireland and the London Broncos.

🇳🇬 Nigeria Green Falcons (World Series)

A tremendous milestone for African rugby league, Nigeria’s Green Falcons made their debut at the Women’s Rugby League World Series - and what an entrance it was! From our Broncos squad, Danyelle Shobanjo and Aminah Olaniyan were both selected. Nigeria started the competition strong and stunned Ireland with a 10–0 victory in their semi-final. Although eventually outplayed by a strong Fiji side in the final, (FT 4–62), the Green Falcons brought incredible pride, passion, and energy to the tournament throughout. Huge congratulations to Danyelle and Aminah for their part in this piece of rugby league history.

🇯🇲 Jamaica & 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland

Beyond the World Series, fixtures took place involving the Scotland Women’s Team and Jamaica's Reggae Warriors, back on home soil. Both teams played against the England Community Lions in development games, before Scotland hosted Jamaica in Featherstone, for a full senior international match.

Representing Scotland, the Smart sisters Becky and Sarah – both crossed the line for tries in an impressive attacking display. Their contribution was key in helping Scotland secure a 38-12 victory, as well as valuable international experience ahead of the 2026 season.

On the opposite side of the field, Emily Bell and Gianna Noble-Cunningham proudly represented Jamaica, both turning in standout performances across the two games. Emily earned Player of the Match honours in the opening fixture, while Gianna followed that up by taking the Player of the Match award in the second test.

As a club, we remain committed to providing opportunities for our players to progress and shine on the world stage. The 2025 season has shown that success is not only measured in trophies, but in the way our players represent both London Broncos Women and the cultural diversity of our city. With internationals now spanning Canada, Ireland, Nigeria, Scotland, Jamaica, Wales, and the USA, our pathway continues to expand the reach of the women’s game and celebrate the global spirit of rugby league.
