The Women's Betfred Challenge Cup comes to the Capital with the London Broncos hosting Wigan Warriors on Sunday 13th April
London Broncos prepare to host last year's semi-finalists Wigan Warriors as they make the long journey down to London for the Women’s Betfred Challenge Cup group stages.
This highly anticipated fixture marks a significant milestone for women’s rugby league in the Capital, as we welcome one of the sport’s most established clubs for a thrilling contest. The Challenge Cup is one of the most prestigious competitions in the game, and this match presents a fantastic opportunity for our team to test themselves against top-tier opposition. With the backing of our home supporters, the Broncos are determined to put in a strong performance and showcase the growth of women’s rugby league in London. We encourage all fans to join us for this landmark event and be part of an unforgettable day for the club.
Please Note: The Boat Race will be taking place on Sunday 13th April affecting the local area.
Please plan your journey and allow extra time for travelling due to disruption and busy roads / public transport.
Supporters travelling by train are encouraged to use Chiswick station and follow the footpath on the north side of the railway to reach Chiswick RFC. For those travelling by car, Dan Mason Drive is expected to be very busy.
Road Closures:
Putney Embankment in its entirety from 08:30 until 17:00 – closed to vehicles.
Thames Bank in its entirety from 08:30 until 17:00 – closed to vehicles.
Hammersmith Bridge and Barnes Bridge will close at 10:00 and reopen at 17:00.
