Another victory for the London Broncos Women saw them secure their place as league leaders at the conclusion of the regular season.

The Broncos made their final trip north in Round 10 of the Northern Championship, facing Hull FC in the last fixture before the playoff finals. A win would secure top spot in the table for the first time in the club’s history and guarantee a home semi-final. With several regulars still sidelined, the Broncos looked to newcomers, who have impressed in recent outings, to deliver once again.

Half-Time: Hull FC 0 – 24 London

From the first whistle, the Broncos looked dangerous in attack and rock solid in defence, despite conceding a number of penalties. Their six different try scorers underlined the squad’s depth and cohesion, while Kathryn Salter (sponsored by Riley Bownes) was flawless with the boot, nailing a perfect 6/6 from the kicking tee.

Full-Time: Hull FC 0 – 36 London Broncos

Both Lauren Mueller (sponsored by Amapolas Bakery) and Ellie Hunt-Pain (sponsored by Lewis Electrical Distributors Ltd) were named Players of the Match for their strong carries, metres gained and solid defensive work. Each made a huge impact on the game.
